Legacy Update

Our weekly Legacy numbers have been much improved this summer. I have witnessed improvments already. That is good and I am pleased about that.

I unfortunately received some not so encouraging word about our players attendance at the tournaments and scrimmages Legacy has provided. The word is that a number of Carmel students verbalized that they would attend a recent weekend tournament. Plans were made by Legacy coaches for the amount of kids that said they would be in attendance, unfortunately all but one Carmel student showed up and that student was a junior higher. Practices are important, but the games and scrimmages are where you are able to put your newly learned skills into competition and have FUN. I certainly do not want our boys and this program known for being "flaky". I understand many have summer vacations, jobs, etc. but if you commit to attending a game or tournament, please honor your commitment, just like you would during the normal school season. The Tues/Friday conditioning workout at CHS should again not be a substitute for Legacy.
