Boy’s Water Polo Team Guidelines
- All players are expected to
be ready to
enter the pool
at the time of the start of practice. A player that is late may be
asked to leave for the day. No
Exceptions.
- Missing practice, games or
tournaments is
not acceptable.
School work, employment and family engagements should be planned
for accordingly and should not interfere with designated practice
and game times. If practice must be missed due to family or
personal emergency, it is the player’s responsibility to contact
their respective coach by phone at least 24
hours in
advance. Again, this is the player’s responsibility, not the
parent’s.
- Profanity and
inappropriate or lude conversation of
any kind will not
be tolerated while engaged in any team function or activity. This
includes practice, van rides, and games, etc.
- Students must ride with
school transportation to and from games. (Unless proper paperwork is
completed)
- Fellow Players will be
treated with respect at all times. There will be no hazing of any
kind.
- Players not cooperating or
working hard in practice, etc. may kindly be asked to leave
practice.
- All players are expected to
aid in setup/breakdown of the pool. No one gets dressed unless work
is done.
- Coaches are to be addressed
by students appropriately as “Coach ____”
- Balls will not be thrown
long distances unless in passing drill.
- When drill is stopped or
whistle blown there is no shooting on cage.
- Absolutely NO DECK
CHANGING.
- Outdoor shower is for
quick rinsing only. No filling hot tub. Water is not to be left
on.
- No hanging on lane lines
whatsoever.
- Grade reports must be
turned in at designated dates (see team calendar).
- While guests at opposing
school, players must stay on pool deck premises unless cleared by
coach.
- A player may not enter the
pool unless a coach is present on deck.
- No climbing fence, even if
gate is locked. Find open gate.
- Each player is expected to
check email and the blog daily to check for important information.
- Player and parents agree
to comply with CCS/CHS concussion guidelines
