Coach Rodger did a good job at clearing up a couple of things we are getting many questions on. I will touch on a few from the phone calls I've received this week...
1) We do a good job keeping the blog up to date and really should be first resource for logistical info. The dates and times should all be correct and up to date.
2) Hell Weeks are not technically "mandatory", but is extremely important. The new CCS rules do not permit us to call them "official" practices until Aug. 14, but in essence your child needs to be there if at all possible.
3) Physicals and their paperwork are due Aug. 14, which is after school starts. This is a new rule this year so some of the info on attaining physicals on the blog will be slightly different, but only in the date they are needed to completed by. Your child will be able to participate in Hell Weeks by just signing the release waiver we will have for them at practice.
4) Like Coach Rodger said in his previous post. We are at the mercy of the school district with the use of the pool. Be prepared to be either in the pool or doing conditioning out of the pool. Proper running shoes, socks, shorts, shirt, towel, goggles, suit, water, etc.
5) The coaching staff will be doing Hell Weeks in "shifts" since most of us are still completing family vacations and work obligations.
Be on time...It will be hard, but so rewarding...Be ready to accomplish something great!
Coach Gaily
