Tournaments

As mentioned earlier CHS boys polo hosts a varsity tournament this weekend and a JV tournament a week later. In addition to the competition, we hope to earn some money for the teams at the tournaments. With the large number of boys and numerous tournaments it take a lot of money to run the teams. Coach Ed has ordered tournament t-shirts that need to be sold. Students can earn community service hours by helping with this, food sales, pool setup/takedown and other tasks. Record your times and have a coach sign the form.

Kim wanted the following added:
"I would like to have some kids (non playing team - JV or Varsity) and/or parents help with selling snacks - but they should volunteer for this after the actually game related positions are covered. It would also be great for families to make baked goods to sell. (We found that homemade foods sold better last year.)"

It will need to be the team not playing and parents who organize and stock this effort because the coach's will have their hands full running the games. Please communicate with Kim directly on this.

We need volunteer parents to help run the equipment and to keep the scorebooks. To date it had been a small subset of the parents who have helped. As Aaron mentioned yesterday, this is your chance to get involved and be part of your son's activities. We can train you. We need 4 adults at the desk for each game(that's 48 time slots). Please sign up via email for Friday evening, Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon, both this weekend and/or the next.

Parking will be first come, first served since there is a football game also this weekend. Mid morning the gates to the pool will be locked so don't park in back unless you expect to stay all day.
