2010 Water Polo Schedule (version 9/1/10)

Important Notes and Disclaimer:
I make every effort to be as thorough as possible with the schedule and do my best to get it to you as soon as dates become known. With that said, some things may be altered as the season nears. There are so many things that can flux during the season with pool times, some schools not fielding a JV team, transportation, etc. I encourage you to please plan ahead, but be willing to be flexible. Thank you in advance.

Important Items to note when planning:
The Fall Break always presents a bit of a problem. The break is only 2 weeks prior to our League Championship tournament. We always do our best to give a portion of the week off, but we encourage families to hold off on longer travel until the season concludes.

SAT and ACT Testing: Please do not take the SAT’s on the date offered in November!! This particular Saturday always falls on League Championship Finals. Please take the date offered in October. If you are planning on taking ACT, please take on the date in September.

Practices: Since we share the pool with the girls program we will be splitting the week once again with equal number of 3:00pm and 5:00pm start times. This cannot be helped and we are so fortunate to have the pool we have.
Monday and Thursdays: 3-5
Tuesdays/Weds. 5-7pm
Fridays: Always to TBA

Sept. 28: Monterey @ Carmel (JV girls 3:30, JV Boys 4:30, V girls 5:30, V Boys 6:30)

Oct. 1: RLS @ Carmel @ Carmel (JV girls 3:30, JV Boys 4:30, V girls 5:30, V Boys 6:30)

Oct. 4: Christoper HS (Gilroy) @ Carmel (JV- 3:30, V – 4:30) (JV/Frosh scrimmage 5:30)

Oct. 7: Carmel @ Alvarez (V – 3:30, V Girls 4:30)

Oct. 8-9: South Valley Polo Fest (Live Oak, V. Christian, Sobrato sites) –(Varsity)
Monta Vista Tournament (JV and Frosh)

Oct. 9: SAT Date (please take SAT on this date if necessary)

Oct. 11-17: FALL BREAK (No Practice Oct. 13-17)

Oct. 12: Watsonville @ Carmel (Varsity @ 3:30 vs. Watsonville, Girls vs. Watsonville @ 4:30
Soquel scrimmage 5:30 - Varsity and 6:30 JV @ Carmel

Oct. 22-23: Padre Invitational (Carmel) – (Varsity)

Oct. 23: ACT date (Please do not take on this date if possible)

Oct. 25: Hollister @ Carmel (JV – 3:30, V – 4:30, JV/Frosh scrimmage 5:30)

Oct. 27: Carmel @ Palma (Location: Catalina) (V – 5:30, JV – 6:30)

Oct. 29-30: Monta Vista Tournament (Varsity)
Padre Invitational – (Carmel) (JV/Frosh)

Nov 1-5: League Championship Week (Carmel could play any day during this week and possibly more than once. WE will also likely be hosting multiple games at our pool for other games. Many volunteers will be needed, please keep this week free if possible)

Nov 6: League Championship Finals @ Catalina

Nov 8-10: First round CCS

Nov 13: Second round CCS

Nov 15-18: CCS semi-finals

Nov 19: End of Season Banquet – 6:00 CHS cafeteria (will re-schedule if in CCS games)

Nov 20: CCS finals
