Players - Save money, put this on your resume, learn the game by teaching

What a great opportunity for our players to learn this game by teaching it to young 5-9 year old kids.  I cannot put a price on the personal development skills I attained from teaching swimming and water polo lessons throughout high school and college.  What a great way to boost your resume for colleges as well!!  You will find yourself quickly learning this game better as you are forced to teach it to someone just learning it.  Take advantage of this!  Legacy is so cool!  Get involved.

Scholarship recipients will be full-time coaches, in the water, with kids ages 5-9.  You will be responsible for their safety and to follow the directions of  all Legacy Coaches and particularly the Head Splashball Coach regarding their instruction and scrimmages.  Your commitment will be every day that Splashball meets for the length of the session.

Scholarships are available to those that are 14 years of age or older, who have a fondness for small children, and have  completed at least two sessions of Legacy Water Polo in the past.

The scholarship awards will be based on first come, first serve and will require a significant commitment of your time working with the Splashball kids.  If you do not fulfill your commitment,  you will be charged the session fee at a rate slightly higher than pro-rated.  For Spring Session 2011 the time commitment will be 1.25 hours starting at either 4:20 or 4:50pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.  The time commitment this summer will be 1.25 hours beginning at 9:50am Monday through Thursday.  It may be possible to earn credit towards your summer session by working this Spring.

If you are interested in one of these Splashball instructor scholarships, please contact Legacy by replying to this email at your earliest convenience.
