What to bring:
Athletic clearance form SIGNED BY PARENT!! (Your child may not participate if they do not have this signed form). The form is also available online under "Summer Sports Activities". The form apples to any activities between June 13th and August 13th.
1) Suit, goggles (coaches pet peeve #1, "coach do you have any spare goggles?")
2) Water (multiple bottles)
3) Running gear (Shorts, running shoes, socks, t-shirt) (These are a must for every practice!)
4) A towel to also do situps on if necessary
5) A good attitude
Important Note: Hell Weeks does not get this name because it is a leisurely few weeks of practice. This will be a test both mentally and physically. To put it frankly, it is going to suck :) All of our athletes will be doing CrossFit style workouts this year. A common phrase in CrossFit is, "Embrace the Suck". When you know the challenge is going to hard maybe even painful what matters most is the attitude and spirit you bring to the task. Success or Fail...doesn't matter, it is how you approach the challenge. We don't care where you are at currently with your ability. What we care about is how you address the challenges we give you. This will be a challenge. I encourage you to approach it with tenacity and courage. This mindset will lead to much success not just in Hell Weeks but for every challenge you will ever face.
