Miscellaneous

Remember that if you desire to leave a tournament or away game with your child that at least 48 hours ahead you have submitted a "Release of Student to Parent/Guardian" form to the CHS office. The coaches will get the approved form in our mailbox and must have it in our possession before we can release your boy.

We are still getting some cramps at practice and games. Daily your boy should be eating a banana of other source of potassium (dulse(whatever that is), kelp if you like it, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, almonds, raisins, other kinds of nuts, etc ) Contact Therese Mahady if you want the complete list.

I have volunteer drivers for 10 JV boys for Saturday. Still need transport for at least 6 more. To date I don't have any volunteers for getting the 17 freshman to Bellarmine plus the 2 coaches back. Please don't wait until the last minute to volunteer so that we know we have it covered. Will leave boys behind if we don't have transport.

We have done a lot of stat keeping training so far especially to the freshman parents. Coach Gaily has requested that a JV and freshman parent pick up the task of coordinating a list for each game so we are not scrambling at the last minute to find people and to free up the coaches to concentrate on coaching the boys. Bill Stoffers is already doing this for the varsity. Please let me know if you will take this on for your team. I am snowed with just coordinating transportation and other logistics. Again for home games we need 3 stat keepers and 2 running the scoring/timing equipment. Away games we need 2 stat takers. Also a reminder that we need people at the desk at least 10 minutes before the games are scheduled to start. If we don't have the assistance stats will be the first thing to be dropped. We must run the equipment and keep the official book at home games. As usual we also need assistance breaking down the pool at the end of home games.
