Carmel wins Homestead Tournament

Unfortunately I may have submitted the results to the Herald a bit late and I'm not sure we made the paper this morning, but the boys had quite a weekend.

The boys walked away with a little "hardware" (trophy) after winning the championship game vs. St. Ignatius (a Western Catholic Athletic League team). 11-9.

It was a great team effort in the championship game with scoring spread evenly between Zack Olivas, Chimay Skinner, Trey Coppinger, Brett Luch, and Ethan Atkins.

Phenomenal defense was displayed all weekend by Sam Sunde in the cage who earned tournament MVP honors for his weekend performance.  Kenny Doo and Trey Coppinger reaked havoc on defense by shutting down 2 meters and steals on the perimeter all weekend.

Brett Luch and Chimay Skinner were named to the All Tournament team.

Still much work is left to do.  Improvement never sleeps, but we're pleased with our boys effort and teamwork displayed all weekend.
