The Padres traveled to Aptos High School on Monday to meet league opponent, Aptos. The varsity came out of the gate well and finished the 1st quarter with a 2-0 lead. It became a 1 goal lead at halftime leading 6-5. The boys came out in the second half with lock down defense once again, holding the Mariners to only 1 goal the entire second half. Leo Gonzales Smith led the charge in the 3rd quarter with 2 goals and multiple steals and assisted on another goal. The game ended 11-6 with Parker Fisher leading the scoring with 4, Kevan Auger 3, Leo Gonzales-Smith 2, West Whittaker 1, Jack "Pancakes" Johnston 1. Carter Whitaker finished the game with 9 saves.
The JV won handily. Score and stats not available.
The Frosh lost 6-3.
The cross town rivalry with Stevenson School returns as Stevenson has moved up to the Gabilan (upper, A division) on Thursday. The varsity game starts early at 4pm with the JV playing at 5pm.
Departure for JV is 3:45. Varsity is on their own to get to Stevenson by 3:00pm.
