Carmel vs. Palma TCAL League Championships

Well, we came up a little short tonight. Palma played a great game and we could not match their scoring. The game ended up 9-6. The boys played hard and we are very proud of them. Frustration is being felt by all of us for a couple of reasons. Mainly because our boys have learned to play a great "brand" of water polo. One that has provided us so many scoring opportunities. We just continue to struggle with putting the ball in the net. In our big games with RLS and Hollister that we lost, we had more shots on goal, more power play advantages, more penalty shots, more steals, than our opponents. Last night was no different. We played the better game I would say. They took very few shots on the cage, but when they did they placed them well and converted on their opportunities. So, the frustration is not with our level of play because most will say that the way the varsity is playing now is so drastically different from how they played 2 or 3 months ago, drastically. They are playing good water polo now and are really exciting to watch. Sometimes the score just doesn't end up on your side. That's just the way it goes in sports. We are extremely proud of our boys though. They have made such great strides and have been exemplary in their attitude and work ethic.

Big game against Monterey on Friday @ CHS. 5pm. Our last one and it will be a tough game. Monterey returns a player who has been ineligible all season who is a very good player. They will challenge us big time. Please be there to support our varsity in their last game of the season.
