SNACK GUIDELINES:
Note the type of game/tournament – we have over 50 boys. Sometimes the snacks are needed for all boys – sometimes just for 1 team. Make sure if the snacks are for one team – that it’s your son’s team (JV or Varsity).
Also – food needs are different for a game than for a tournament. In general, games require water throughout and food at the end. Tournaments will need at least water throughout the game (maybe sports drinks) and snacks throughout the day.
Thanks for your help!
Snacks Recommendations:
For tournaments:
· Cut up fruit: Bananas, oranges, apples
· Cut up: Bagels with peanut butter (light cream cheese OK for after), PBJ sandwiches, other carb. Snacks
· Ask your son for other ideas….
For games:
· Cut up fruit: Bananas, oranges, apples
· After game food – pizza, sandwiches, bagels…not as sensitive as tournament food
· Ask your son for other ideas….
Drinks Recommendations:
· Minimally water
· Optionally replenishment drink (like Gatorade or Cytomax)
