An exciting week for CHS polo!

Santa Cruz:
Lots of action and lots of press this week.  We don't usually get a whole lot of news press, but the Herald was out to watch our Varsity come back against the defending league champions, Santa Cruz, from a 9-4 deficit at the end of the first half to win 11-10.  The boys held Santa Cruz to only 1 goal in the 3rd and 4th quarter combined.  The game winning goal came from the beautiful pass by Leo Gonzales-Smith to Kevan Auger with 22 secs. left.  Goalie Carter Whitaker locked things down to close out the game.  Kevan finished the game with 6 big goals.

The JV came a couple goals short of a comeback of their own while the freshman won!

Salinas:
The varsity found themselves in a hole once again in the first quarter going down 4-1.  They cut the deficit to 4-3 by the end of the first and then went into halftime tied at 6-6.  The second half, the defense once again locked down holding Salinas to just 2 goals in the remaining half while the Padres rattled off 9 goals.  Final score 15-8.  Parker Fisher finished with 6 goals.

The JV finished the sweep by defeating the Cowboys for their first league win.

Watsonville:
The Freshman team travels to Watsonville to play in their JV tourney.  Departure times will be announced very soon.
