Crucial email for all current CHS players, parents and incoming freshman

Current players, Parents and incoming players and parents:

The summer is upon us.

There is an important question I suggest you ask yourself...

"What am I going to do to personally improve and prepare myself for the season?"

Here are my suggestions that I strongly suggest:

1) We are really hoping all of you reading this are planning on playing with our area club team "Legacy" this summer.  See www.legacypolo.org, sign up and don't miss a practice.  Even if you are gone on vacation for part of the summer, attend as much as possible.

2) Along with attending practices I strongly encourage all of you who are really interested in challenging yourself to improve need to consider Junior Olympics this summer.  Please read details below and respond asap.

Coach Gaily

Legacy is attempting to build 14u ,16u ,and 18u boys teams to send to the Junior Olympics this summer. The Junior Olympics features teams from all over the country, and is the largest water polo tournament in the nation. Participating in the tournament is an excellent way to experience high level water polo that can not be found in this area. It is also an excellent chance to develop skills, gain experience, and get in shape ahead of the upcoming high school season. Practices will be held at night at CHS and CSUMB,  with the time and location depending on which team an athlete is competing on. In order to participate in the Junior Olympics, Legacy must participate in a qualifier tournament to attempt to qualify out of the Pacific Zone.  The dates for the qualifier tournament are the following:

Qualifier Dates: (in Moraga/ East Bay)

18u Boys & Girls
Round I: June 17-19
Round II: June 24-26

16u Boys & Girls
Round I: June 11-12
Round II: June 24-26

14u Boys
Round I: June 17-19
Round II: June 24-26

14u Girls
June 17-19

12u Boys & Girls
June 24-26

If Legacy qualifies, the Junior Olympics will be held on the following dates:
Junior Olympics : July 23 - 26, 2016 (SAN JOSE)

If you are interested in joining a team or have questions about the Junior Olympics, please email legacypolo@gmail.com.

Also, if you know of any families that are planning on joining the program as freshman next year, please send this information to them, as participating in the Junior Olympics is a great way to gain experience and a leg up on fellow incoming freshman heading into the season.
