2016 Season Pre-Season Important Information

Hello All,

Hard to believe the season is so closely upon us.  It always amazes me how quickly the off-season goes.

I'd like to get everyone up to speed so that your student and your family are ready for this season.

If you know of any incoming students that are planning on trying out for water polo, please forward this to them.  Thank you.  

Please read very carefully.

1) Schedule:
Practice begins Aug. 1 at 7am.  This first week of practice is optional, but most choose to attend.  Your attendance will not however weigh on team selection.
The entire season schedule is up and has been up for many months.  All practices, league games, meetings, SAT/ACT test dates, minimum days, holidays, playoffs, etc. are posted.  See side bar on our webpage for Schedule link or click here

PLEASE PLAN YOUR OCTOBER BREAK AROUND GAMES ACCORDINGLY.  THE LEAGUE DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND CARMEL'S MODIFIED SCHEDULE.  WE HAVE GAMES AND PRACTICES DURING THAT WEEK.  

ALSO PLEASE SELECT SAT AND ACT TESTING DATES THAT DO NOT CONFLICT WITH SCHEDULED GAMES OR TOURNAMENTS.

2) Official Requirements to participate:
There are 2 REQUIREMENTS
A) If you are attending optional "Hell Weeks" you will need this form signed by parent in order to participate from Aug. 1-4.  This is the "Summer Medical Release" waiver as this first week of optional practice is still in the "summer".  This form is downloaded here (click on summer release form link towards top of page ) http://www.carmelunified.org/Page/2658
B) On Aug. 5 You MUST have your entire "Athletic Pre-Participation Packet" completed.  Please follow all instructions and access all necessary paperwork at this link

The Pre-participation Packet referenced above (#B) must be fully completed, turned into the ASB office, pay your fees, etc.  They will give the student a copy of their "EMERGENCY CARD" to give to the coach at their practice.  YOU CANNOT PRACTICE UNTIL THIS IS COMPLETED, NO EXCEPTIONS.

4) Please complete Driver and Auto certification now so that it is done before the season begins.  We will need certified drivers to transport kids to and from some tournaments.  If we don't have enough drivers, we don't go.  It's that simple.  Click here for forms and instructions.
